Frequently Asked Questions

Portraits

When will the photos be ready?

Generally in about 2-3 weeks. You will get an email with a link to your private online gallery where you can download your images for free and print them at your lab of choice or purchase products directly from the gallery.

How long will you keep the images from a session?

For 90 days after delivery.

I hate having my photo taken. How will you make me look good?

I hate having my photo taken too. I tend to veer away from rigid poses and instead focus on being in the moment and catching candid smiles or laughs.

When do sessions take place?

Sessions take place during golden hour, which is the two hours prior to sunset. The light at this time of day is particularly gorgeous and flattering. Sessions can be booked on weekdays (except Thursdays) during the warmer months and on the weekends. I can accommodate earlier times, but the lighting might not be as ideal.

I’d love to book you! What are the next steps?

Great! I’m so excited you want to work with me! Just contact me with your request and after finalizing some details, I will send you a contract. Once you pay the full session fee, your session date will be officially booked!

Foodtography

What does foodtography cover?

I don’t do any commercial gimmicks (e.g. using glue for ice cream, etc.), but capture high quality and creative shots of your creations in all their delicious glory. If you’re a restaurant owner, I can also take photos of your space and your staff.

When will the photos be ready?

Generally in about 1-2 weeks. You will get an email with a link to your private online gallery where you can download your images for free with full rights to use images on your website, social media, menus, banners, etc.

When do sessions take place?

Sessions preferrably take place when your business is closed or not busy. This can be in the middle of the afternoon or in the morning before opening time.

What is your process during the session?

Depending on the food you want photos of, they can either all be ready by the time I get to the location or we can discuss the staggering so that the dishes are freshly made when I take the photos. I will provide suggestions during our initial discussion.

I’d need a list of the desired dishes prior to the shoot and possibly some (leftover) ingredients to use. I’d need an indication of whether or not I can alter the goods, e.g. can I cut this burger/cake? I can also just keep it plain and simple. Check out the gallery for some samples.

How long are the sessions?

Depends on what you want! They can range from 30min to 90min. If you’re not sure how long it’ll take, I can provide guidance during our initial discussion.
